When?

December 26th-January 1st

 

This trip is 7 days, including: 2 travel days, 4 clinic days, and a day off. 

 

 

Why Panama? 

Over 25 percent of Panama's population lives in poverty and 3 percent of the population lives in extreme poverty, according to reports by the World Bank

Registration & Deadline  

Deadline to register & make payment: October 26th, 2018

 

*We will be providing funding to help you cover the costs of your registration fees. Additional information will be sent once you sign up for our trip! 

What will we do?

  • Perform the medical assessment and treatment of patients who have scarce economic resources and poor access to health care 

  • Learn about the culture, history, politics, and public health issues of Panama and reflect upon how we can help address those problems in an integrated and culturally competent manner

Upcoming Training Dates

  • Training sessions will take place at the Texas A&M College of Medicine campus in Bryan. Exact room details will be emailed to members who have registered for the 2018 winter trip prior to the session. The training dates for are as follows: 

    • Sunday, 10/14 @ 11 AM

    • Sunday, 11/04 @ 11 AM 

    • Sunday, 11/18 @ 11 AM

    • Sunday, 12/02 @ 11 AM

  • Additional Side Notes: 

    • ​​Lunch will be provided at each session! 

    • The time frame for each session will be from 

           11 AM to 2 PM. Please plan accordingly.
